You may have thought the celebrations had started early the other day when David Essex popped in to the gallery during the Usk Winter Festival to view the paintings of Goff Danter. We have enjoyed a long association with Goff so were delighted to be able to introduce the artist, a member of the iconic Danter Funfair family and one of the UKs leading artists, to another fairground enthusiast David Essex, currently touring in the West End hit musical "All the fun of the Fair" After a little time swapping stories, David chose a couple of Goffs fairground paintings for his personal collection. As David had kindly come to see Goff at work so the reverse was true in the evening as Goff and his family went to see Mr Essexs show. Goff says he was "bowled over" and wholeheatedly recommends the how to everyone. ( as indeed, we recommend his paintings!)
